Movements from the Margins (with Diasporas Now)

Brexciya: Reimagining Resistance, Belonging, and Rebirth

This January, People Dem Collective partners with Diasporas Now for Movements from the Margins — a cross-diasporic celebration of art, music, dance, and community organising as spiritual and creative practice.

Past editions of Movements from the Margins at Turner Contemporary and We Out Here Festival have paired musicians with healers, offered food and movement, and created spaces for rest and regeneration. This year, we continue that tradition: holding space for artists, healers, and communities to set intentions for the year ahead.

Together, we reimagine what it means to nurture cultural movements from the margins from the coastlines of Margate to the distant shores of our diasporic roots.

This is more than an event. It’s a living, breathing ecosystem — one that celebrates creativity, care, and connection as radical acts of resistance and love.

📅 Event: January 2025 at Quench Gallery, Margate
